scsi initiator can't find update.inf

When installing Initiator-2.08-build3825-x64fre.exe using the run as administrator option I am receiving the following error:

Setup could not find the update.inf file needed to update your system

I'm running Windows 7 professional 64 bit

what update.inf is the installer looking for, and how do I get around this message?
