I have a brand new HP Pavilion g6 with Windows 8.

Today, I turned it on, and it went directly to a screen that said "Configuring Windows Updates. 1%. Do not turn off your computer."

It stopped at 12% and did not change for a very long time, so I looked online and found out that I'm not the only one with this problem.

I turned off my computer, turned it back on, and got into safe mode.

I can get to this screen: http://0.tqn.com/d/pcsupport/1/0/i/I/-/-/1.png

and this screen: http://www2.windows7hacker.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Boot-to-Safe-Mode-Troubleshoot-Advanced-options.png

and this one: http://www.faqforge.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/Screenshot-8.png

I don't know what to do with those options to fix it. I already tried turning it off and back on, "continue," and "automatic repair."

Please help. Tell me what I can do.
