Original title: lost downloaded file.

As my AVG is about to expire, I, following my computer man's advice to download, uninstall and then install. took the following steps.

 

went to Avg free. downloaded it, and lowered it to the task bar. then I went the control panel, opened add/remove programs and proceeded to uninstal the old AVG. Now comes the crux of the matter, when I tried to pick the downloaded file (AVG free), it

wasn't there.

 

I do not have enough computer savvy to figure this out, and if you choose to reply, would you Please be very specific--I am not smarter than a 5th grader.
