We will be replacing our old server this week with a new server. Operating

System is Windowss 2003 Standard Server. Is there an easy way to mover

users from one to the another and keep their permissions in tact? Also, is

there a way to move folder and files and keep their permissions is tact?

Thank you in advance for your help!!

The State Migration Tool might help you move your users:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=0CAA294C-29D9-4449-81D5-4B69B97DF7AE&displaylang=en

To copy user files and folders complete with permissions you

could use xcopy.exe or robocopy.exe.

Hi - I replied to your identical post in

microsoft.public.windows.server.setup. In the future, please don't

multipost - if you need to post to multiple groups, it's best to crosspost

instead, by posting a single message to a handful of relevant groups

(separate the NG names with commas) so that everyone can follow the thread.

Multiposting wastes everyone's time, including yours, and may lead to your

actually getting *less* help rather than more.
