Updating for newest virus and spyware definitions will not complete

Every day when i get on my computer i click on "update" for the newest definitions and the green bar will fill up and its says"updated", but at the top it says it couldn't "compete the latest definitions for virus and spyware due to a internet connectivity

problem or connection". But I have not internet problems and no connectivity issues. It then just tells me my computer is protected though. Should i worry about this?
