windows vista Aplemix

I was just contacted by someone who led me to believe they were calling from 'windows' and told me that my computer was full of 'junk' and ready to explode!! He wanted me to download Alpemix in order to rectify the problem......of course, I didn't and

hung up.....he called right back.....have you heard of this before?
