i can play a music cd on my computer but when i try to play a dvd i do not get any sound. i have tried fixing this for 3 weeks now but cannot get anything accomplished. when i first got my computer a couple of years ago it worked. is there any way that

i could have deleted my decoder or messed it up? when i use Microsoft fix it it says that i do not have a decoder??????? i have windows vista home basic......was there a decoder installed on this when i got it??????? help
