I Have Norton Gold - should I turn off defender (Windows 8 Pro)

When I bought My new PC I was sold an Anti Virus/Firewall product - Norton Gold as part of the package. - I have disabled the windows Firewall as the Norton Gold has An Integrated one but should I also disable Defender as it is now also a full anti-Virus
