I believe that this is an important update. I was offered this update on my Vista and Windows 7 64 bit computer. I am not being offered this update on my Windows 7 64bit laptop. I purchased this computer in December 2011, after the root certificate

problem which prompted Microsoft to issue other root certificate updates. I found and downloaded them and Microsoft said they were not appropriate for my system when I tried to install them. I tried installing kB981125 for XP sp3 and that didn't give an

indication of it's being installed or not - but it did not show up in the "view installed updates" area, or in the event viewer.

Is it possible that this computer doesn't require the KB931125 update?
