External Monitor Set as First Monitor

I have an external monitor hooked up to my laptop. The problem is that my computer seems to think the second monitor that's hooked up to the computer is the main monitor. I've tried changing the monitors so that the laptop's monitor is the main one. It

still doesn't work though... How do I fix this problem?

 

My system info:

Microsoft Windows XP

Media Center Edition

Version 2002

Service Pack 3

 

Toshiba

Satellite

Intel® Core 2 CPU

T5200 @ 1.60GHz

1.60 GHz. 1.49 GB of RAM
