windows xp Product key

I had to reboot/recover my system on my COMPAQ Presario v6000. I was able to recover everything except::::

My Microsoft Office will not boot up unless I enter the product key. I enter the product key I have on my yellow sticker, on the back of my laptop, however, it will not accept the 25 digit code. I already had someone else verify the code and we are entering

it correctly but the system will not accept it. What can i do? Microsoft Office was loaded and sold as part of the laptop by Circuit City
