Since installing windows8, my printer and the pc-dvd stopped working. How can I fix?

My printer Hp Officejet 4500 G510g-n will not print since installing windows8, the paper just goes through without writing on the page.

 

The DVD on this laptop also will not play DVDs anymore. All of this worked before windows8.
