My daughter said when she turned her laptop on (Windows 7), it started doing an update. So she left it to finish. When she came back to it, it "looked like old Windows, and everything on the Desktop was gone", and when she tried to access her Documents

folder, it said it couldn't find it. So when I got home and looked at it, I looked in Users and saw that her folder was locked, and only Public was available. I rebooted it, and everything returned to normal. What was that all about? Did the update turn on

some kind of safe mode that used a Classic look? And with her user being locked, I'm assuming she wasn't the one logged in, so what was logged in (she's the only user)?
