Essential security scans. I cannot complete a weekly 'full' scan on this win7. It does scan 'quick'

When I update MS Essential Security all is well. Then I attempt to do a 'FULL' scan it does not complete my request.

Win 7 legal and am using the same protection on 2 other computers without any problem.

Any suggestions?
