Updates will not download and install. Error message says: error code 80080005.How do I fix?

When I attempt Windows update I received a message that the updates could not download/install. Also receive an error code: 80080005. I've tried "Fix-it" but, though it goes through the motions of fixiing it, I get the same results in trying to download

Windows updates. How can I fix this?
