Working Laptop HD being replaced, Licensing and install question(s)

I have a working HD that I would like to replace (dropped from some height) with MS 7 Pro 64 Bit OA for Lenovo.  Am I correct that I'll need to create a bootable USB, then image the ISO to it from the existing drive, install new HD then begin a clean install

using the same product key? Also reinstalling MS Office Basic the same way, downloaded product key? I want to make sure I'm not missing anything here technically or license wise. Thanks.
