Windows Defender update fails

I have Windows update set to inform me when updates are availableand check and instal updates each time I switch p.c. on.

I prefer this to auto updates taking over p.c. with monthly update list.

When installing windows defender updates they sometimes fail with error 800705B4.

I have run FIXIT to no avail. On retrying Update it says non available. Timing issues are listed as a possible culprit

How (in detail please) can I manually locate and retry failed updates?

OR does widows recognise they are missing and include within next update?

Help please.
