i have done the automatic troubleshooting that followed the error, says it fixed the problem then when i go to check for updates again i get this same error. my reasoning for wanting to check for an update is because my wifi keeps dropping every 5-10 minutes

on this brand new dell laptop, and it has been recommended that i check the windows update.  i know its not my wifi connection because i have other laptops here that never drop signal.  anyways, i just want to know if theres a way to get around this error!

Windows Update error 0x8024401C.  i have windows 8 if that matters
