I have an organization that has Windows server 2003 R2 running what does the

"R2" mean?

That is release 2. A few new features, an enhanced Active Directory

Hello Terry,

 

R2 is a feature pack with additional tools for server 2003 like new DFS and

FSRM. It requires an additional license for installing.
