I have an HP i7-2600S Desktop Computer.  When I turned on my computer today, it appeared to be installing updates.  After it booted and I logged in, I noted that the Modern UI start screen looked completely different than I had left it.  All of my

apps were gone and the background looked different.  The only apps on the screen were desktop, store, internet explorer and file explorer.  When I went to my desktop it also looked different.  The desktop background was different and my desktop

shortcuts were gone.  When I opened file explorer all of my favorites and mapped drives were gone.  When I opened my browser, I was logged out of all of the sites I am normally logged onto.  It appears that all of my files are still available.  Many of the

apps that startup when booting were not running, such as dropbox, Malwarebytes, air video server, etc.  I am afraid to set everything up again in case this happens again.  I did a scan with Windows Defender and no virus were found.
