Windows Update just stopped working on my new Windows Server 2008 machine.

I'm installing a new home based small business server.  After working fine for many updates and reboots, Windows Update  just stopped connecting to the net on my new Windows Server 2008 64bit machine.  LAN settings are set to automatic as per instructions.  Internet

Explorer now seems to be blocked out regardless of what I try or what security setting that I lower.  Dianose is frozen and does nothing.  However, the eithernet connections to the internet work fine with normal PCs.  Please help.  Clif
