Why does windows go straight to the lock screen now instead of letting me access my bios?!

With this new update I am not able to access the bios. I am very mad about this and do not know what to do. When I search online it tells me windows 8 is going to integrate this UEFI bullshit, why would you skip the bios? Is there anyway I can fix this?

And don't say, use advanced restart, it doesn't do ****.
