Windows update for restored computer set to factory

I have windows vista home premium, I had a system crash and had to restore to factory but now it wants to update to vista service pack one and frame work but it will not update gets to the up date and liscense page but fails every time. I have tried turning

off firewall and renaming folders but to no avail, please help
