Paint expands the size of JPEG

The reason why I am trying to avoid Paint as much as I can is because even it merely loads and saves in JPEG (without changes), there is actually increase in file size!

In several instances, I took a screenshot using Snipping Tool and saved it as a JPEG.  Another same screenshot was taken using

Print Screen keyboard button and pasted to Paint, the saved JPEG file size is a lot bigger than the one saved using Snipping Tool.  Why is it so?
