RP1980 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Good Evening, Can someone recommend the best free music management software? I am currently using Windows Media Player and some software I got with my Sony MP3 player, SonicStage. I was thinking of downloading iTunes, is it worth it if I don't have an iPod? Is it any better than what I already have? I'm not worried about the 'Music Store' aspect of these programs as I load all my music from my CD collection, on the rare occasions I do download I do so from Play.com. Can anyone recommend anything better that is legally free? Thanks! Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 You won't get anything free legally but apparently Napster is now legit so try that mate. Napster.co.uk - Napster. Music on Demand Quote
Tootech Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Yeah, I use the latest version of iTunes - have to say it is a step in the right direction, with album covers being displayed, and the option to simply press 'play' to play a full album. Quite like it:) Quote
Goku Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 If you are consdering a new Media Player, you might like Winamp (Free Edition). I use it primarily for music playback and VideoLAN's VLC Media Player for video playback. I tried iTunes once and was impressed by its features but it takes some time to load. Besides, I find that it slows down your computer to some extent. Try different players and see what suits you best. Hope that helps. :) -- Goku Quote
