Running Windows 8 on a Lenovo Thinkpad Twist, not an upgrade from an older OS, computer was built for Windows 8. Recently did a refresh on my PC and afterwards I am now unable to change settings in Windows Update, get the same message others have posted

about "Some Settings are managed by your administrator". I am the only user on this computer and the administrator, not a member of any domain. I have already run the troubleshooter, no issues found, I have created a different admin account and logged in under

those credentials, no luck, and I have enabled the built in Administrator account using command prompt and logged in using those credentials, same message as when using my default account. I am running Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 and have tried disabling

this but still get the same message. Also, Windows Update history is empty even though all updates have been applied, if I select "See Installed Updates" they all show, but the Windows Update History link returns a blank page with the message "You have not

installed any updates". Any ideas? Thanks in advance,...............Joe
