Vista Media Center loses tv recording titles

I just opened my Vista Media Centre and - whilst my existing TV recordings are accessible and playable - most of them have lost their programme title and description info. Only programme recording date/time and length are shown.

I checked the 'raw' files on my hard drive and they are all ok.

Any ideas how to get the details back?
