Updates uninstalled upon restart

My computer is now up to FORTY updates that need to be installed.  The major issue I am having is that they will all successfully install, but as soon as I restart my computer, all of them are uninstalled.  Any suggestions for what may be wrong and how

to fix it?  Thank you.
