sandisk m240 required windows xp service pack 1

Windows 7 does not reconized my mp3 sandisk model m240 (sansa).  With the cd for  installation the message said it cannot install because it is missing windows xp service pack1.  I tried with the installation of windows xp pack 2, but still it is not working.

When I plug my mp3 it is stock in the mode "initialisation"  and the sandisk does not appear in my computer has being plug.
