unable to use windows update even after installing KB947821

I am having a problem using windows update and even after using the suggestions provided in the forum in regards to resolving the issue I have, I have yet to come up with a solution.  I have answered some basic questions about my problem which is originally

documented The complete version of Windows you have installed

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

 

 

 

[*]The update(s) that fail to install

Running the windows update process generates the error 8007370B for which it is recommend that you download and install (run) the Hotfix KB947821 (System Update Readiness Tool)

 

Downloading and running the System Update Readiness tool ends with the a message "Installation Complete" and what appears to be normal termination.

 

 

[*]The complete error message you receive

The only error message that I receive is when I use Windows Update - again the error that repeatedly occurs, before and after the installation of the "System Update Readiness Tool" is error 8007370B.

 

 

 

 

[*]Any troubleshooting steps you have completed

I have perused the forums here on answer.microsoft.com and have come up empty handed....  Not sure if I will have to reinstall my OS or if there is another method through which this issue can be resolved.
