Goku Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Hello Redgey. Have you followed the instructions exactly as provided in the manual here. If yes, then it might be a bent pin or mismatched connections that might be causing the colour problems. -- Goku Quote

redgey Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 Hi again There is not much to the instructions. The pins appear OK, I tried the lead with another device, and it worked fine. I have tried source set to PAL & Counrty UK. Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Is all ok now then Redgey or what mate? Have you tried hooking it up via the normal Monitor output? Quote
redgey Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 How do you mean, I have a monitor connected. Do you mean a second one? Quote
redgey Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 I have connected the TV to a Laptop with a normal monitor lead, and that was fine. Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Are you trying to view on both the laptop and the TV at the same time? Quote
redgey Posted November 17, 2008 Author Posted November 17, 2008 (edited) No i was answering a previouse Q. If I use a VGA connection lead from PC to TV, Pic is fine, but if I use the designated tv out (S-Video) pic is black & white. Well I was just trying to avoid having to buy another lead. Guest Wolfeymole Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Ok so is there any real necessity yo use the S Video connection? Your VGA connection will give you just as a good a picture. Quote
Plastic Nev Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 S video is a bit finnicky for want of a better word, I have the S video socket on my lappy, but it won't allow a DVD picture out to the telly when trying to play one on the lappy. I gave up and bought a converter that would plug into the monitor socket with two ordinary RCA to Scart out leads. Trouble is, that device is no longer on the market.
