Why does my monitor not work?

I was using IE and then it froze my laptop computer while I was watching a video.. I did a warm reboot, but the monitor will not come back on It has never done this. I have tried to update the monitor firmware and fun diagnostics, but it is fine. When

I plug in a monitor or TV, it works just fine. The BIOS check does not beep, but is noticeably slower. What can I do?
