Windows cannot access the specified device path or file problem

Hello,

I'm getting this error message when trying to run an installer application,

"Windows cannot access the specified device path or file. You may not have

the appropriate permissions to access the item." I'm running Windows Server

2003 R3 with IE7.

I'm logged on as a user belonging to the "Administrator" group.

Can someone help with explaining why this is happening? And a corrective

actions to enable my user account to run this installer.

Thanks,

Gilbert

Re: Windows cannot access the specified device path or file probl

Hello,

Yes, it's R2. And no, it's not IE7 related. Turns out the problem is that

I have to unblock the file's access using the "Properties->General->Unblock"

button.

Gilbert
