Microsoft Security Essentials Prerelease is not working. I can't delete to download another one.

When I start the computer, I get an error message that server cannot be found for Microsoft Security Essentials Prerelease. Clicking on the icon provides the same error message.

I have tried to download it again, but the new version cannot remove the old version from the hard drive for the download.

 

Now my computer is without protedtion.

 

There is another problem I have. I'm not getting sound from my speakers. The speakers work.

All these problems occured since I came back from a three weeks vacation.

Please help.
