windows 7 26 Updates are failing

Since around October, I have been accumulating failed updates.  Prior to this, I almost never had a problem.

Anyway, there are 26 updates that are failing to install.  I have a Windows 7, 64bit.

The updates are checked automatically by my computer, and I install the new ones regularly when I have them, but it's getting annoying to find the same number of updates, 26, are hanging up.

I have tried the Windows troubleshooter, the one with the Fix-it dialog, to no avail.

I've tried to fix this on my own, and I don't know what to do.
