I've installed Virtual Pc onto my Pc and have installed Windows svr2003 std.

When I run svr 2003, and go to gpedit.msc try to make a change in Windows

Setting for lets say password length, (want to change it from 7 to 10) its

shaded in gray. Actually everything looks to be shaded in gray.

Why can't i make changes.

I've installed Virtual Pc in order to try things here before doing it live

on my Server.

need Help.

thanks.

I guess that you've made the 2003 server a domain controller?

You cannot change the policy settings on a DC directly using gpedit. You

need to edit the Default Domain Controllers Policy object in Active

Directory.
