windows vista update for .Net framework 1.1 SP1 KB 2742597 failed to install

OS  Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2

The following update failed to install.  I've tried many different things to try to get this update to install but everything has failed so far.  I had not noticed that this update has failed to install since March 2010.  I finally decided that I needed

to see if I could get it to install.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
