Windows xp blanks out on me

I have a tower Acer computer with a 500 GB hard disk with a Seagate backup system.... lately my Windows XP simply turns off for no reason whatsover and restarts on it's own... I then get this "Blue Screen error caused by device or driver"... they recommend

steps to solve this problem but nothing helps... this happens intermittently.. how do I solve this?? thanks.. Ray
