Repeated prompt to install Vista SP1 KB936330.

Have now installed it at least 6 times. Says "installed successfully" but seconds afterwards, update icon reappears.  Cannot  have installed successfully as does not appear on list of installed programs otherwise I would uninstall it and try again.  Secondly,

computer does not automatically shut down and restart. Have tried manually to do this but without success.
