My computers system has been shut down How do I fix it

On startup I got the message that an initial session has been unexpectedly terminated and the system has been shut down.  Now when I start my computer all I get is the starting windows page and then the gateway page and then it goes black and then repeats.

  I have windows 7 on my computer   How do I get my computer to reboot
