after updatewindows will not load after update restart

hello

my laptop HD went bad,replaced with new one.installed windows 7 from cd that came with pc.after installing windows,things work good,however update download a bunch of update like 149.when udate are installed and pc restart,windows will not load and take

me to startup repair.and to reset to an early point.this is frustrating.been dealing with this for ever.

anyone please help
