windows 8 windows 8 tiles not working

Im having the same problem as a lot of people and ive tried pretty much everything ive seen on all these different forums, i dont have avast so its not that, i have Norton security and its up to date, ive tried local accounts and microsoft accounts and

i cant find whats causing it, i click any tile and it flashes up for a few seconds then disappears and goes back to tile screen, store has 15 on it? ive created other user accounts for my kids and their tiles work, tried refreshing the pc too and it says there

was a problem refreshing the pc and no changes were made. Also, they did used to work, then i was having problems with windows 8 updates, i ran the troubleshooting for it and fixed that problem but since the update the tiles don't work. please tell me someone

knows how to fix this??
