My bitdefender expires tommorrow, I am considering using MSE instead. Is this good or bad? I am a no

I have windows 7 home premium and IE 9. I also have malware bytes.MSE is free. I get different answers from different people and almost none are the same. I am hoping that the Microsoft Community can help me with a reasonable way to go with antivirus options.
