i have wxp media edition2002, and want a fresh install on a better harddrive, what's involved?

i have my original installation disc, for win xp 2002 media edition,  hard drive very rough want to reinstall.  I use this comp mostly for tv.  I think I have to go all the way back to all the sp's and I remember getting hung up on sp3,  what is the simplest

way to do this?
