I have a Windows Vista Home Premium laptop.  Since I got it in 2008, it has NEVER successfully performed a Windows Update of the Vista Service Pack #1.  It has failed every time, causing (I believe) the WINSXS directory to grow to a whopping 97GB (of a

140GB hard drive.  The error code I just got was 80091007.  My laptop is a fine computer, and I mostly use it to browse the web.  It seems silly to junk the laptop just because Vista updates NEVER work, causing (I believe) my Hard Drive to just get increasingly

cluttered until it chokes.  Help !!!
