Original title : I have Windows 7 Home Premium.  What happens if I open start, and click on "lock",

 

I have Windows 7 Home Premium.  What happens if I open start, and click on "lock", with my mouse??. Will I be asked to install a password prior to my PC shutting down and locking, or I will have no way to reboot my computer because I hit lock.  Many thanks
