Today I removed Windows Search from my computer, as the magnifying glass just arrived unannounced a couple of weeks ago when I updated windows.  It was set to index search automatically and even when I put it on snooze, my computer ran much more slowly. 

I rarely search for files on my computer, so feel that this will not be a problem.  What do you think?
