Windows 7 hangs after update yesterday

I installed like 18 updates some Days ago, all recommended excluding silverlight. I finally came about to restart the computer today, and when the computer comes in to desktop, it just shows hourglass when hovering over taskbar. Ctrl+Alt+Del doesnt work,

and nothing is clickable on the desktop although it shows the arrow. I used system restore from before the update installation (2 Days ago), but the problem is still there. No other rstore Points are available. I disabled some startup programs in safe mode.

 

Edit: I tried using the Repair on the windows cd, and I tried uninstalling the recent updates. No luck.

 

What to do?
