Patch on Feb 12th Windows XP

Ever since downloading and installing the patch from the 12th my computer has been running very slow and very unresponsive. The download and install ran without any problems, restarted fine, and I recieved no error messages. However, since booting up the

processes boot really slow, the internet connection icon is delayed by mintues, and I am unable to open virus programs or firefox or anything. This is the first time something like this has happend. Ive rebooted several times and even a restore to before the

update.
