This is on Windows Server 2003 Standard R2 SP2 running SQL Server 2005

Tried installing multiple times since the update appeared on Windows Update

but it always fails.

Microsoft want to charge me for resolving this issue even though Windows

Update Support is supposed to be free.

No mention of error 0x643 there

This is a standard server running SQL 2005 with no modifications. It just

downloaded Visual Studio 2005 SP1 which will not install.

I have no idea why
